Scope and Contents
4th volume (of 4) of an impressive dictionary, published by the Highland Society of Scotland, Edinburgh, in 1828. This volume of the dictionary begins with R and an explanation of the letter "r" in Gaelic, and finishes with Ut ùtraiseachd. The volume is interleaved with systematic manuscript additions by Professor Donald Mackinnon. Professor Mackinnon also makes handwritten editorial annotations on printed pages of the dictionary, including corrections and deletions. The first printed page has printed on it in large upper case letters 'DICTIONARIUM SCOTO-CELTICUM, though it has been crossed out manually.
