Biographical / Historical

The Edinburgh station of the Agriculture and Food Research Council's Institute for Animal Health existed between 1986 and 2008. It derived from the Neuropathogenesis Unit, which operated between 1981 and 1986 on the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings site. The Institute of Animal Health headquarters was based in Compton, Berkshire, with another laboratory at Pirbright, Guildford, Surrey.
