Biographical / Historical
The ARK-genomics project received funding from the BBSRC's Investigating Gene Function initiative. Its key aim was to establish a virtual centre for functional genomics research in farm animals (the UK Centre for Functional Genomics in Farm Animals), which would facilitate community development and training and increase access to resources, expertise and facilities.
