Biographical / Historical
Roslin Diagen Ltd was established in 1996 to take over Roslin Institute's Cattle Blood Typing Service (CBTS) and to turn it into a viable concern. The company went on to carry out DNA genotyping in other farm animals as well as dogs, birds and humans and to research genetic markers relevant to animal breeding. Roslin Institute held a minority shareholding and received income from major intellectual property licenses.
