Biographical / Historical
The 'exotic breeds' trial included nine cattle from the Charolais, Simmental, Chianina, Hereford, Friesian and Jersey breeds, and ran from 1977 to 1979 at Cold Norton Farm. The experiment aimed to investigate the performance of lactating cattle of different breeds on different levels of restricted feeding.
