Among the notes it is stated that Raol mac Alein [Raghnall mac Ailein] was the last to inhabit Caisteal Bhuirgh and that he added the porch and extended the west side of it. Written transversely over the first few lines of this item also in pencil is 'Donl mac Iain Mhuid[eartach] who lived at Borve last was the last buried in the tunga at Howmore [Tobha Mòr, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist].
