Biography

Henry Lonsdale was born in Carlisle. He studied medicine at Edinburgh University. He worked with Robert Knox (1791-1862), the anatomist, and John Reid (1809-1849), the physiologist. He wrote, Anatomical memoirs (1868) of his friend John Goodsir, and A sketch of the life and writings of Robert Knox, the anatomist (1870).

Scope and Contents A rare notice announcing the resuming of meetings of the Edinburgh Hunterian Medical Society.
