Letter from Wallace, Alfred Russel, to Charles Lyell, 7 July 1865
Letter to Lyell thanking him for note, and corrections received. Surprised by Lubbock's note, which he had thought was a mistake, grateful that Lyell has agreed with him. Praises Lubbock's book which includes facts and arguments 'in a clear and forcible manner' though fails to understand why Horner's 'Nile [?] evidence is deemed 'unsatisfactory'.
Letters from Duke of Argyll [Campbell, John Douglas Sutherland] to Charles Lyell, 19 January 1850 - 30 April 1903
