Biography
Isabella of Valois or Isabella of France was Queen consort of England as the second wife of King Richard II. She was born at the Louvre in Paris in 1389 to Charles VI, King of France and Isabella of Bavaria. She was betrothed to Richard at the age of six, occasioning a twenty-eight year truce agreement between the two countries. She was widowed three years after marrying Richard and later married Charles, Duke of Orleans. She died in childbirth at the age of nineteen.
