Biography

Marcus Tullius Cicero was a Roman statesman, lawyer, scholar, and writer. He was born in 106 BCE in Arpinum. He was killed in 43 BCE. His writings include books of rhetoric, orations, philosophical and political treatises, and letters. He was considered a master of Latin prose and was greatly admired by influential Church Fathers such as Augustine of Hippo and St. Jerome. He was also very influential among medieval philosophers.
