Biography

Hilda was born in Edinburgh in 1903 to Ebenezer Denholm Young, WS (born India 1957) and Margaret Logie Hamiltn Edmonston(born Unst). Hilda graduated with a Certificate in Social Study in 1926. She went on to graduate in medicine from Edinburgh University in 1932. Before practicing as a GP in Farningham, she held the following posts: Assistant School Medical Officer, Kent; House Surgeon, Loughborough General Hospital; Res. Asst. phys., Jordanburn Nerve Hospital, Edin.; Res. Asst. Med. Off. Alder Hay Childrens Hospital, Liverpool.

Her brother was Clement Patrick Samuel Denholm Young. She died in Bexley, 1999.
