Biography
After graduating, Agnes worked for the Cumberland and Westmorland Mental Welfare Association. She completed the London School of Economics mental health course on a Commonwealth Fund Scholarship. She was appointed Psychiatric Social Worker with North Eastern Council for Mental Welfare in 1936 earning a salary of £275 plus £100 car allowance. She was the first PSW to operate between the Scottish Borders and Leeds.

Includes printed copy of paper read by Dr C B Bamford a the First Annual General Meeting of the North Eastern Guardianship Committee, 5th March 1937, in which he discusses the role of the social worker in mental health.
