Biography
Fred Tyas (1922-2004) gained a Certificate in Social Study in 1957. With an interest in youth services, Fred’s practical placements included the youth employment office, the probation service and a local authority children’s department. He went on to hold positions at Wellesly Nautical Approved School, Bata Technical College in Essex and Hangleton Further Education Centre.
