Biography

Certificate of Social Study, 1949. Asnah Brown was born in Edinburgh in 1902, her father Arthur was a jeweller and house furnisher. In 1924 she married her cousin Victor Hyman Brown at the Graham Street Synagogue. There were both involved in assisting Jewish children to escape Nazi Germany. After graduating she was employed as the Secretary of the Special Cases Committee, Edinburgh Council of Social Services. Asnah died in Edinburgh in 1985.
