Cert. Social Study 1931. Studied Theology for one year at Glasgow University. Born at Blantyre, Nyasaland [Malawi], daughter of William Jervis Livingstone, manager of Magomero Estate who was killed in 1915 during the Chilembwe uprising against colonial rule.
