Scope and Contents

Title should read "Waverley from North Bridge". Old Jail (site of St. Andrew's House). Portico of the (old) Royal High School and the Burns Monument in the background. Coll-1167/B/26/12/5 the next one, is from a badly damaged negative plate, but must have shown the adjacent right hand view from this same point. Handwritten title by Alasdair Geddes.

Scope and Contents This street still leads, at right angles, from Nicolson Street to the Pleasance. Richmond Lane runs north west from the Fork, corsses West Richmond Street and becomes Richmond Place (which leads through Roxburgh Place to Drummond Street). The whole area has been almost wholly rebuilt since clearnce began about 1930. Handwritten title by Alasdair Geddes.
