Biography
Cert. Social Study 1948. Personnel Officer with Messrs J & P Coate, Paisley where she established a scheme for sanatorium treatment in France for employees suffering from TB, financed by fellow workers. As a consequence, Barbara was consulted in connection with the British government's scheme in Switzerland and was offered a job with the British Red Cross as Welfare officer there. Applied for membership with the Institute of Almoners.
