Biography

Dip. Social Study 1954. Eileen took part in a pilot housing study of Pilton, Edinburgh with Professor Tom Burns in 1954. Thesis title: "An Enquiry into the General Pattern of Behaviours of Boys and Girls of Pre-school Leaving Age in a Housing Estate". Was also an undergraduate at Edinburgh University, graduating with an Ordinary MA. She performed in Varsity Vanities for 3 years. On graduating from the School of Social Study she found work as a Probation officer in England before returning to Scotland to work for Wall's Ice Cream.
