Biography

James Lorimer was born to parents Hannah Stodart Lorimer (1835-1916) and James Lorimer (1818-1890) in 1852. He worked in Melbourne, Australia and Grahamstown, South Africa, where he died in 1898. His siblings were: Hannah Cassels im Thurn (née Lorimer) (1854-1947), John Henry Lorimer (1856-1936), Janet Alice Chalmers (née Lorimer) (1857-1946), Caroline Louise Lorimer (1861-1946), and Robert Stodart Lorimer (1864-1929).
