Manuscript volume containing two works: "Essay on the Physiology of the Nervous System by R Wisemann, surgeon, Cupar, read before the society Jan 12th 1827", and "Essay on Paralysis read befor the Society 5 July 1827 by Alexr Reid, surgeon, Markinch". There is a later pencilled annotation to the endpaper reading: "Lettered on Spine (apparently original binding): Essays of the Fife Med. Chirurgical Society Vol. II 1827".
