Story about geese on Ìle/Islay collected from Donald Currie, crofter there, telling how he once ''sneaked behi[nd] [a] dyke to see how near he could get to geese in a pool - tame geese.' One goose stood separately on a knoll but was struck in the face by several flaps by another goose. which went back to the pool afterwards. 'The chastened goose roared out for long aft[er]. Never attemp[ed] to move'. Donald adds that 'Geese go to Loch Dearg in Ire[land] from this' [Lough Derg, County Donegal]....
