Scope and Contents Letter to Sir Archibald Geikie from John George Bartholomew concerning the publication of a map of agricultural land-use and geology of Ireland at a scale of 10 miles to the inch. Bartholomew reports that the production of this map would not be a commercial viability unless the sale to schools was guaranteed, because Edward Hull already had a similar map on the market. He agrees to estimate the cost of production.

Scope and Contents Letter to Sir Archibald Geikie from John George Bartholomew telling him that he is going on holiday for a month. He reports that he has edited the proofs for the physical geology maps and they are going to press and that he will send copies. Meanwhile, the colour stones are being prepared. The maps of Scotland are almost ready for press, but printing has been delayed to allow for personal proofing.
