Biography
The artist Phoebe Anna Traquair was born in Dublin in 1852. She moved to Edinburgh in 1873. Her work included jewellery enamelling, book illuminating and binding, embroidery, and mural painting. Her murals can be found at the former Catholic and Apostolic Church, East London Street, Edinburgh, at the Song School, St. Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, and in the Thistle Chapel, St. Giles, Edinburgh. Traquair was the first female member of the Royal Scottish Academy, and she was a leading light of the Arts and Craft movement. She died in 1936.

Collection of Reproductions of Medallions by Phoebe Anna Traquair
The collection is composed of reproductions of circa 12 medallions painted by her on the walls of the Song School, St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, and it also includes a letter to C. R. Barbour. Reproductions on vellum, with gold illumination.
