Biography

William Murray Cairns, of Liverpool (in 1897 noted as at Catherine Street, Liverpool), was awarded the degrees of M.B., C.M. from Edinburgh University in 1891. In 1897, Cairns was noted at the Buchanan School of Midwifery and Gynaecology. He was a Fellow of the Edinburgh Obstetrical Society. Prior to 1897, Cairns had been Clinical Assistant to the Professor of Midwifery and Gynaecology at Edinburgh University.
