The papers of Francis Montgomery Collinson consist of music scores, correspondence, and notebooks relating to folk songs from the mid-20th century. Also present in the collection are a number of 19th century printed ballads collected by Collinson. It is unclear whether he was the original collator, or if there was an earlier collector also at work.
