Case summary, forms and correspondence relating to male Merchant seaman from Scotland (outside Edinburgh and the Lothians) aged 21 at first examination in 1948. Conditions mentioned include: tuberculosis of lungs, pleurisy, cough and spit. No family history of tuberculosis. Surgical treatment given, including artificial pneumothorax and pneumoperitoneum. Nonsurgical treatment given, including chemotherapy. Patient discharged.
