Case summary and correspondence relating to male medical student (2nd year) from north Edinburgh and Leith aged 27 at first examination in 1936. Conditions mentioned include: pain in chest, haemoptysis, very early pulmonary tuberculosis. No family history of tuberculosis. Surgical treatment given, including artificial pneumothorax.
