Acknowledgment by James [Stewart], commendator of the abbeys of Kelso and Melrose, by which, on account of good service, he accepts Andrew Donald, son of the late John Donald, as tenant of the 3s. land, of old extent, of Katryne Ovir (Upper Katryne), formerly rented by the deceased John, lying in the lordship of Kylismure and shire of Ayr, belonging to the abbey of Melrose.
