Instrument of Sasine proceeding on the precept by John Cossar, sub-prior of Kelso, dated 9th November 1534. Sasine given 10th November 1534, by Gilbert Wauchope of Nudry-merschell, as bailie. Witnesses, his son Adam Wauchope, Robert Borthuik, James Henrisoun, William Scot, Andrew Dalmahoy, Serjeant, Richard Reid, Sir Walter Hill, chaplain, John Smeberd, Donald Foulartoun, and Sir Alexander Borthuik, chaplain and notary public. Alexander Young, clerk of St. Andrews diocese, by apostolic authority notary to instrument.
