Instrument of Sasine proceeding on a precept from King James V (dated 8th November [1537]), for infefting John Fullartoun, as nearest and lawful heir of his father, the late John Fullartoun of Corsby, in the lands of Trwn, with fishings, the lands of Fullartoun, with fishings from Troon inclusive to the mouth, and those of the water of Irvine from the mouth, etc., and other lands [mentioned in Laing Charter La.V/1272], taking security for £253, 13s. 4d. of the fermes of the said lands, which had been nine years and one term in the king's hands by reason of ward, which rents extend yearly to £79, 6s. 8d. Sasine given, 10th November 1537, by Hugh Wallace of Halye, acting for William Wallace of Cragy, bailie of Kyle Stewart. Witnesses, David Blair of Adamtoun, John Gilmour, burgess of Saint Johnston [Perth], William Wallace in Lomis, and Archibald Barklay; George Mwre, presbyter of Glasgow diocese, by apostolic authority notary public.
