Notarial Instrument narrating that James Drant freely resigned and upgave from himself and his heirs all right, possession, or kindness he had to the 10s. lands of Nether Cars, occupied by him, in the barony of Sweetheart, etc., in favour of John Brown, son of Cristina Lanerig, and John Brown, son of Janet Makdonart, their heirs, etc. Done at the monastery of Sweetheart, on 10th February 1549-50. Witnesses, Paul Broun, John Slochtir, and Thomas Makcongwe. John Lauder, presbyter of Glasgow diocese, by apostolic authority notary public.
