Scope and Contents
Notebook containing transcripts of poems from the Book of the Dean of Lismore Sir James MacGregor (16 century). The transcripts were created by Ewen MacLachlan. This transcript, which was said to have been lost was, 'transcribed for Sir John MacGregor Murray, and sent off per Mail to the care of Wm Kerr, Secretary, Genl Post Office, Tuesday May 24 1814' (see the verso side of page 105).
Page 1-9 contains an incomplete transcription of a MS of modern Gaelic songs concerning the MacDonells of Glengarry.
