Scope and Contents

Collection of poems and tales. Includes 15 poems headed 'Duaran agus Coll', 'A' Mhuireartach', 'Suire Osein', 'Bran', 'Mo Raothain', 'Laoidh an Amadain Mhoir', 'Na h-Airm', 'Bas Choirill', 'Bardachd Oisin', 'Togail Toireachd na Muireartach', 'Bas Dhiarmaid', 'Bas Oscar' and 'Laoidh na Nighne' (note that there is an error on the numbering of the pages before this poem). The notebook also includes the story of 'Mac Righ na Greige', extracts from 'Manus agus Cath Righ na Sorcha', and two Gaelic tales headed 'Carson thainig Ard-fhraic mach' and 'Oigh an Fhuilt Oir'.

It is noted that a number of the poems were sent to J.F. Campbell of Islay, including 'Na h-Airm' which was sent on the 2 December 1861.
