Scope and Contents
Coloured drawing of Alexander Carmichael beside a large ice boulder in Scalpay. Probably painted by his wife Mary Carmichael. Included are loose leaf sheets with the following printed inscription, 'Mary, Mo ghaol an diugh mar an de thu. My love to day as yesterday art thou. Alexander'. Also a poem headed, 'Soiridh, A Bhean-shith Agus An Sealgair', 'Farewell The Fairy and the Hunter'.
