Scope and Contents
Song entitled 'Glen Liadail' [Gleann Liathdail, Uibhist a Tuath/South Uist] beginning 'Challa hi hura bho, Chall hi o ho, Leanabain a leanabain, Dean cadal dhomh'. The song is composed of seventeen lines. The accompanying note reads, ' If praised the big man allowed strangers to pass. A wom[an] was run[nin]g & she fell. The house which was dark brimming filling up with sluagh. She then began to praise them.' Text has been scored through in pencil as if transcribed elsewhere.
