It reads 'Clann Andain near Butt [of Lewis] [Rubha Robhanais, Eilean Leòdhais/Isle of Lewis] had to carry in 1 crao[bh] [choirc] (dias) A thimble they had car[r]y in[crat]. 6 aft[er] this. They were all out Siod ard siod Clann And- man t-sail - so proud'.
