Song collected from Mairi Dhonullach niean Ruarai Chaluim [Mary MacDonald], aged about 28 years, Miùghlaigh/Mingulay beginning 'Chuala mi do gheadh sa bhin'ach, hoa ri na hura bhi iu o'. The song is composed of five lines. The text has been scored through in ink and written transversely across it is 'B[ook] 3 P[age] [-] Trans[cribed] June 16 1869 A[lexander] A[rchibald] C[armichael]'. Also written transversely but in pencil and obscured by the ink transcription note is possible 'Oran Si[th]' [fairy song]
