Scope and Contents
Song entitled 'Seathain' [Seathan Mac Rìgh Èireann - John the Son of the King of Ireland] probably collected from Margaret MacIntosh, tailor's wife, Ceann a Deas Loch Baghasdail/South Boisdale, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist beginning 'Huru na hurri bho horo, Nam fai[c]te Sea[thain] ag eiridh'. The song is composed of fourteen lines and has been scored through in ink as if transcribed elsewhere. The text is slightly obscured by another item having been written transversely across it also in pencil.
