Scope and Contents
Mangalur charter, in Sanskrit (southern Brahmi script), on 7 copper plates, with (eroded) seal on ring. Issued from Dasanapura in the 8th year of the reign of the Pallava Maharaja Simhavarman II (c. CE 444), son of the Yuvaraja Visnugopa, grandson of Skandavarman II, and great-grandson of Viravarman, conveying a village to Brahmins.
