Scope and Contents

Uruvupalli charter, in Sanskrit (southern Brahmi script), on 5 copper plates, with seal on ring, issued from Palakkada in the 11th year of the Pallava Maharaja Simhavarman II (c. CE 447) by the crown prince Viṣṇugopavarman (II), son of Skandavarman II, grandson of Viravarman, etc., conveying a village as a religious foundation.
