Charter issued from the city of Nandipuri by the Gurjara king Dadda II Prasantaraga, c 638 CE
Scope and Contents
5. Charter in Sanskrit on 3 plates, issued from the city of Nandipuri [south Gujarat] by the Gurjara king Dadda II Prasantaraga (r. CE 629-641), son of Vitaraga Jayabhata I, conveying estates to certain Brahmins, in the year 385 of the Kalachuri-Chedi era (probably CE 638), on the full-moon day of Karttika. Plate 1 is the same as the first plate of the Kaira grant published by J.F. Fleet in the Indian Antiquary, vol. XIII, p.81ff; plates 2-3 carry on from that point but are different in size and make from plate 1.
