Biographical / Historical

The Centre for Human Ecology and the School of the Man Made Future, established in 1972, were conceived in tandem, with the Centre as the research base, providing the name under which the two bodies operated for funding applications, and the School providing the teaching activities and premises. However, while the Centre for Human Ecology carried on, the School of the Man Made Future did not continue after Waddington's death in the form he envisaged.
