Biographical / Historical
Following the acquisition of a new building and improved equipment in 1964, Waddington was keen to develop a pre- and post-doctoral training programme at the Institute, particularly among American students. However, the application was not successful due to a curtailment of grant funds, a result of the Vietnam War.
