Letters Marjorie Rackstraw wrote to family members, while in Russia, 12 Oct 1921-June 1922
Scope and Contents
This file contains letters written by Marjorie Rackstraw during her time working in Russia for famine relief. She writes that these letters are a journal that she sends to her family in installments, and the contents include updates on how the programme of support is being received, and problems preventing supplies from reaching them (weather, attacks from bandits). She names people who she is working with, where they are stationed, and the apalling conditions the peasants are living in.
