Scope and Contents
Two manuscript volumes written by Sir Walter Elliot between the years 1825 and 1832, and containing copies of inscriptions. On the first page of each volume is the following note: 'Inscriptions on Copper and Stones Collected by Walter Elliot of the Madras Civil Service in the Southern Maharatta Country, Eastern districts of the Nizams Territory, Bellary, Mysoor & Canara, during the years 1825 to 1832'.
