Biographical / Historical
The Science Studies Unit was originally formed within the University of Edinburgh Faculty in 1966 as an inter-disciplinary body, encompasing philosophy, history and sociology. It was in communication with the Department of Molecular Biology on general matters and specifically in connection with the teaching of biology.
