Chicago: reproduction of a general layout, 1907
Scope and Contents
Reproduction of general scheme for the layout of Chicago by Daniel H. Burnham, 1907. Text reads "'Example of an American city now so fully passing into the Imperial phase of development', on the French model." Coll-1167/A/6/15-23 were originally 8 items mounted on one composite sheet, displayed in four rows and mounted on white cartridge papers, and thereafter on stiff grey sugar paper. The sheet was previously very damaged, items since separated. Presumably illustrations were cut from an article on Town Planning. This item originally displayed on top row of composite sheet.
