Scope and Contents

INTVEE is a widow with 5 children, one of whom lives with her and suffers from health problems. INTVER observes the wild behaviour of the cat and noted that the wallpaper was torn and INTVEE's arms scratched. She had run out of coal on the Friday and would not be able to afford more until her pension at the beginning of the next week. She has two close friends who had come from Leith at the same time. They did not want to move but now like it. There were originally 6 families from Leith in the stair but were now only three, two having died and one having moved to live with a relative.
