Detail elevation of cast iron staircase baluster
Additional Specification: 'The whole of the baluster and brackets for the gallery staircase in the upper museum to be executed in the very best manner, according to the accompanying drawings, no. 102 and 103. The estimate is to include the making of the patterns which must be carved with the greatest care and to the satisfaction of the architect. The brackets to be executed as soon as possible, and the whole of the work to be finished carted up and fixed in its place. The contractor, at the contract price on or before the past date of May 1819. And the contractor shall pay one guinea for each day after the said last day of May 1819 until the whole work shall be fixed up in its place, should it not be so, on or before that time."
