Scope and Contents

"A difficult boy, moody, cheeky at times, rather nervous, a bad influence at school, sex play etc. Got a lot of licence at home. Father a roadman. Mother, hysterical and highly strung, deaf, talks ++, repeats herself. Good home, clean, not overcrowded. [Female teacher] thinks behaviour was "partly psychological and partly impudence". He spoilt the tone of the school. Now a nuisance on the bus to school. [Male teacher] says he has settled down well and is now no trouble at all. IQ 95. No P.A."
